Preparation
We planted a lot of tomatoes. Too many tomatoes?
There's a sign outside of Janesville that says "How can you say there are too many children? That's like saying there are too many flowers!"
I'm not sure about that. But there are a lot of tomatoes. And they are very very red.
Canning tomatoes is something that I was scared of. I have tried canning, last year, and it didn't work. My pickles were soft and didn't taste good. My beans were grey. It just didn't work.
K let me borrow a cookbook, a great one. Lots of wonderful recipes in that one. I know. I know because...I've cooked a LOT of them.
4 kinds of salsa.
Spaghetti sauce.
Tomato sauce.
Chopped tomatoes.
Applesauce.
Marmalade.
Oh, yes, I've been busy. And I'm not done yet.
