Thanksgiving

That picture is of my bro-in-law, the Mighty Hunter, who killed us a turkey. You know with a gun and stuff. The Mighty Hunter then brought it home to my mother, who did the work of removing the feathers and making it into the sort of thing you could lower into a giant deep fat fryer for Thanksgiving. J found a little buckshot in his meat. He put it in his pocket. You can be sure that will end up in our washing machine at some time in the future.
It wasn't gamey, a little dry from overcooking, but pretty good. I'd eat it again. Thanks Mighty Hunter!

Oh, my sister is raising such geeky children. We inflict our favorite board games on them, and they eat them up. Here they tackle RoboRally. J also inticed them outside for a snowball fight and they built snow forts for the attack. He's a 36 year old kid. I think that they wanted to come inside before he did. Oh, we did bring our Wii, and they LOVED LOVED LOVED it. J got a little sick of all the Wii playing because we left him home with the kids while we went Black Friday shopping.
I wrote a post about Black Friday over on Wisconsin Native.
My parents got a new puppy recently, a wiggly little girl puppy that they are calling SugarBabe. She's a bundle of energy right now, maybe because of all of the people around and the food and craziness. She is being held by J's cousin, C., who joined us for Thanksgiving. He loved little Sugarbabe and probably would have happily taken her back with him to his home in Oshkosh if he could.
Everyone had a great time, but it really was a whirlwind! I was exhausted!
